Privacy policy
Kawi respects your privacy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains what data we collect and why.
What we collect
On this site, the only personal data we collect directly is your email address, and only when you enter it yourself in a form to be notified about the launch or to get in touch. We also measure how the site is used, within the limits of what you agree to (see "Audience measurement" below). We use no advertising cookies and do no tracking across other sites.
Audience measurement
To understand how the site is used and improve it, we measure audience with PostHog, hosted in the European Union, acting as a data processor. No data leaves the European Union, and none is used for advertising or sold.
This measurement works at two levels, depending on your choice. Without your consent, it stays anonymous: nothing is stored on your device, your IP address is anonymised, and we only see aggregate statistics (page views, device type, approximate country). With your consent, a cookie lets us recognise your browser from one page to the next: we then measure your journey through the site and record your navigation in anonymised form (movement, clicks, scrolling).
What you type is never recorded. Form fields are masked at the source: we see neither your email address nor any text you enter, even once you have accepted measurement.
The legal basis for this measurement is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, and doing so changes nothing about your browsing.

The kawi_consent cookie is set whatever your choice, including a refusal: its only purpose is to remember that choice so we stop asking. On that basis it is exempt from consent.
Withdrawing your consent: click "Manage cookies" at the bottom of any page. Your choice is erased and the banner reappears.
Why
Your email is used solely to keep you informed about the launch of Kawi and the news that concerns you. It is never sold or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
Where your data is stored
The emails we collect are stored via Cloudflare (the site's host). An email-sending tool may be used to write to you; it acts as a processor, with no other use of your data.
How long we keep it
Your email is kept until launch and then for as long as needed for our relationship, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights: contact@kawi.lu.
