What parents ask.
I don't speak Luxembourgish, is that a problem?+
Quite the opposite. Kawi is designed so you learn at the same time as your child, with the translation in your own language. You progress together.
My child can't read yet.+
That's the whole point. Everything relies on pictures and sound. No reading is needed.
What age should we start?+
In practice between 3 and 6 years old, as soon as your child shows interest. Kawi is built for the précoce and Spillschoul years: everything goes through pictures and sound, never through reading.
What is précoce?+
In Luxembourg, précoce education is an optional year open from age 3, before the Spillschoul (cycle 1, compulsory from age 4). It's often a child's very first contact with Luxembourgish, and that's exactly the moment Kawi prepares for.
Does it replace the Spillschoul?+
No. The app helps your child get a head start and revise, but the real learning happens with the teachers and the other children. It's a complement.
How much time per day?+
A few minutes. The app is built for short sessions, with nothing designed to keep your child hooked. No streak to maintain.
